All metal surfaces are in very high condition, showing no rust, pitts or roughness whatsoever including the bore, which is, as you would expect, perfect. Because these rifles chamber a cartridge almost identical to the US government 45/70 they make excellent pieces for black powder cartridge shooting, are renowned for their accuracy and popularity with rolling block shooters.
