#666 M1873 US SpringfieldThis classic Springfield trapdoor is in fine overall condition and is complete with cleaning rod and well cartouched original stock. The 1873 breach block shows traces of finish, the rest of the rifle is mostly brown patinaed but smooth, rust free and pit free throughout. This was obviously a well taking care of shooter as the front sight blade has been raise to lower the point of impact for 100 yard ranges, while the bore is as close to perfect as you could hope for. This is a very attractive trapdoor which could easily be accurately shot and would certainly hold its own in competition. A nice rifle for the collector, and a great one for the shooter!
