#671 - Chilean M. 1895 infantry rifle

#671 Chilean M. 1895 infantry rifleThis is a gorgeous rifle with all metal parts, which were originally blued, still showing a deep blue, except for the bottom of the butt stock, which is blue but now thin. The bolt and rear-sight remain in the white, which is correct. The rifle is very well marked, with beautiful Mauser Chileno Modelo 1895 markings from the DWM arsenal where it was made. The bore is bright and beautiful, looking almost unfired. The rifle has original cleaning rod, all serial numbers match, and the butt stock cartouches are sharp, clear and legible. There are some extremely tiny, fine import markings beneath the barrel, behind the muzzle, that indicate SamCo and 7MM. Overall, a beautiful collectible late 19th century rifle.
